Deluxe is currently looking for freelance ENG to [SEE LISTED LANGUAGES] native translators with experience in song adaptation or transcreation to work on a high-profile project.
What is song adaptation?
Song adaptation is adapting the translation to reflect the rhyme and metre of the lyrics and to ensure the lyrics resonate with the target language audience
What is transcreation?
Transcreation is the process of adapting content from a source language to a target language while maintaining the intent, style, tone, and context of the original text. A translator's creative role is important in delivering a successful transcreation, which should evoke the same emotions and carry the same implications in the target language as it does in the source language. This approach is often used in global marketing and advertising.
Other key qualifications/ key competencies:
· Familiarity with different musical genres-ideally rap, grime and drill genres originating from the UK
· Native speaker of target language
